Mission Statement

Florida Homeschool Information
Boca Home Schoolers, Inc. is a home education support group with a special interest in upholding Christian beliefs. Anyone interested in home schooling is invited to join.
The purposes of BHS, Inc. are: To develop a strong support group of those involved in educating their children at home. To support and strengthen existing home schooling families and to help and encourage new home schooling families. To educate parents regarding home school laws, curricula, publications, educational conventions and the like. To inspire and enable home schooling families in their endeavors to educate their children according to Biblical principles.
Boca Home Schoolers support group was founded by Christians and has always had a predominantly Christian membership. BHS, Inc. holds that parents have a God-given responsibility to teach their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). The philosophy of BHS, Inc is founded on traditional Biblical Christian teachings. BHS, Inc. believes the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God; BHS, Inc. will always seek to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. This will include, but not be limited to, honoring our Lord in everything we do and say, praying openly to our Heavenly Father in the name of His son, Jesus, before or during meetings, speaking of Jesus publicly, discussing Christian ideals, and insuring that our children have the freedom to express their Christian faith during BHS, Inc. activities. Meetings, publications, activities and classes offered to all members will be consistent with these beliefs. Therefore BHS, Inc. will maintain a Christian leadership.
Families taking education into their own hands for the benefit of their children is the cause connecting all members of BHS, Inc. Any who shares this vision is welcome. All members of BHS, Inc. are asked to sign a statement by which they agree to preserve the group's Christian leadership structure, focus and activities, and to not attempt to change them.
